TERMS AND CONDITIONS GOVERNING THE “UOB M STAFF PROMOTION”

  1. Definitions
    1. “Cash Credit” means a sum determined by UOB which will be deposited into your qualifying card account.
    2. “Equipment” means any compatible electronic, wireless, communication, transmission or telecommunications equipment, device or medium including but not limited to the Internet, any computer or mobile equipment, device, terminal or system which may be required to access and use the Services.
    3. “Participants” means all employees of UOB who are based in Singapore and who have been in employment with UOB since 20 October 2015.
    4. “Prize” means the S$10 Cash Credit, Apple watch or any other item as the Bank may add to or remove from this list, at any time.
    5. “Promotion” refers to this “UOB M STAFF PROMOTION”.
    6. “Promotional Period” means the period from 20 October 2015, 12:00 am until 15 November 2015 11:59 pm (Singapore date/time).
    7. “Qualifying restaurant review” shall refer to the completion of all three fields in UOB M restaurant rating screens relating to a restaurant’s food, price and service which has been successfully received and displayed on UOB M during the respective Promotion Week.
    8. “Terms and Conditions” means the terms and conditions of this Promotion, as may be amended from time to time at the Bank’s discretion.
    9. “UOB” or “Bank” means United Overseas Bank Limited, and includes any successor or assign thereof.
    10. “UOB M” means the dining services we offer from time to time through a UOB mobile application that enables you to search for restaurants, make restaurant bookings, rate restaurants and review best dishes.
  2. Promotions
    1. The first one hundred (100) Participants to post a Qualifying restaurant review of any participating restaurants listed on UOB M for a Promotion Week shall be entitled to receive S$10 cash credit each. Each eligible Participant may only receive a maximum of S$10 Cash Credit per Promotion Week.
    2. The Participant who has posted the most number of Qualifying restaurant reviews for a Promotion Week shall be entitled to receive an Apple watch. Where there are multiple participants who have posted the same number of Qualifying restaurant reviews for a Promotional Week, the first Participant to achieve the most number of Qualifying restaurants reviews for that week will be eligible for the Apple watch reward.
    3. Each eligible Participant may only receive a maximum of one (1) Apple watch during the entire Promotional Period, notwithstanding that a Participant has posted the most number of Qualifying restaurant reviews for more than one Promotion Week.
    4. Each week in the Promotional Period is as follows (“Promotion Week”):

      4 9 November - 15 November 2015
  3. Eligibility
    1. To be eligible to take part in this Promotion, the Participant must:
      1. be an employee of UOB who is based in Singapore;
      2. have successfully installed and downloaded UOB M from the link uob.com.sg/UOBMapp during the Promotional Period;
      3. have successfully logged in to UOB M using his/her UOB Personal Internet Banking username and password during the Promotional Period;
      4. have a UOB Visa or MasterCard Debit or Credit Card that is active, valid, subsisting, in good standing and is satisfactorily conducted at all times as determined by UOB in UOB’s sole discretion;
      5. have dine at a participating restaurant which is listed on UOB M;
      6. have paid for the meal which costs at least S$10 using a UOB Visa or MasterCard Debit or Credit Card;
      7. have received an invitation to rate the restaurant on UOB M; and
      8. have performed a Qualifying restaurant review.
    2. In order to receive the invitation to rate the restaurant, the Participant needs to turn on push notification on his/her iPhone or Android phone. No invitation will be sent to Participants who have not enabled push notification. Any transactions occurring when push notification is disabled will not be eligible for the Promotion.
    3. Without limiting the generality of any of the foregoing provisions:
      1. Any incomplete review will not be considered and will be disqualified from the Promotion.
      2. Reviews received by UOB before 12:00 am on 20 October 2015 or after 11:59 pm on 15 November 2015 (Singapore date/time) will not qualify for the Promotion and will be considered invalid and void.
      3. UOB reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion the eligibility of any reviews submitted for this Promotion. The decisions of UOB on all such matters relating to the eligibility of any reviews are final, conclusive and binding.
    4. The following persons shall not be eligible for the Promotion:
      1. All employees of UOB who are directly involved in organizing and/or promoting this Promotion;
      2. Persons who are no longer in employment with UOB as of 15 November 2015;
      3. Persons who are or have become mentally incapacitated, deceased, insolvent or who face legal incapacity; and
      4. Persons who face legal proceedings of any nature or have any legal proceedings of any nature threatened against them.
    5. UOB reserves the right to determine at its sole and absolute discretion the eligibility of Participants and/or persons for this Promotion. The decisions of UOB on all such matters relating to the eligibility of any such Participants and/or persons are final, conclusive and binding, and UOB is not obliged to give any reason or prior notice.
  4. Notification
    1. Eligible Participants who are entitled to the Cash Credit and/or Apple watch will receive an email notification at their UOB email address notifying the Participants that he/she is entitled to the Cash Credit and/or Apple watch. Eligible Participants will be notified on or before the notification dates are as follows:

      The Cash Credit will only be credited at the end of the Promotional Period, before or on 13 December 2015.
    2. The Cash Credit will be credited into the UOB card account last used by the Eligible Participant for his/her dining transaction tracked in UOB’s bank record. For the avoidance of doubt, the Cash Credit will be forfeited if the said UOB card is cancelled closed before the cash is credited or if the eligible Participants ceased their term of employment with UOB prior to 13 December 2015.
    3. Details of the redemption of Apple watch will be provided in the notification email.
    4. UOB reserves the right to replace and/or substitute any of the Prize(s) with another prize at equivalent or close to the prevailing recommended value without giving prior notice or reason.
    5. If UOB subsequently discovers that the Participant is not eligible to participate in the Promotion and/or to receive the Prize, UOB may at its discretion forfeit the Prize, or if already awarded, reclaim the Prize from the Participant (whether by deductions to the Participant’s UOB accounts or otherwise) and/or award or dispose of the Prize(s) in such manner as UOB deems fit at its discretion.
  5. Participation
    1. By participating in the Promotion, the Participant:-
      1. allows UOB and its related corporations (collectively, the “Companies”), and their agents, to share the Participant’s personal data amongst themselves, to collect and use the data, and to disclose the data to the Companies’ authorised service providers for the following purposes:
        1. contacting the Participant via address, electronic transmission (e.g. email), SMS, telephone and other means of communication to inform the Participant about his/her entitlement in the Promotion, as well as products and services marketed by the Companies (“Products and Services”); and
        2. conducting consumer and market research in respect of the Products and Services, which may be relevant to the Participant;
      2. consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her name, identification/passport number and such other information and particulars, including photographs of the Participant, for result announcement, publicity or marketing purposes in connection with the Promotion and UOB M; and
      3. agrees to co-operate with and participate in such publicity activities without any payment or compensation thereof.
  6. General
    1. Notwithstanding anything in these Terms and Conditions, UOB reserves the right at any time and from time to time, at its discretion and without giving prior notice, to amend, vary, add or delete these Terms and Conditions, including but not limited to the eligibility criteria, the Prizes, the Promotional Period and terminating the Promotion, without assuming any liability to any person and all Participants shall be bound by these amendments.
    2. The decisions of UOB on all matters relating to the Promotion are final, conclusive and binding. UOB shall not be obliged to give any reason or enter into any correspondence with any person on any matter concerning the Promotion and no appeal, correspondence or claims will be entertained.
    3. In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancies between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, publicity, brochure, marketing, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Promotion, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
    4. Participation in the Promotion is subject to these Terms and Conditions. The terms and conditions governing UOB M (collectively, the “Standard Terms”) which are available at uob.com.sg will continue to apply and be binding on the Participants. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the Standard Terms, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail in respect of matters relating to this Promotion to the extent of such inconsistency.
    5. While all the information provided herein is believed to be reliable at the time and date of printing, the Bank makes no representation or warranty whether express or implied, and accepts no responsibility or liability for its completeness or accuracy.
    6. UOB shall not be responsible or liable for any loss, injury to or expenses, claim or damages of any Participant or any other person howsoever arising.
    7. UOB shall not be liable if it is unable to perform its obligations under these Terms and Conditions due directly or indirectly to the failure of the merchants supplying the Prizes, service providers or such other third party which maybe engaged for the Promotion, any machine or communication system, industrial dispute, war, Act of God, or anything outside the control of UOB.
    8. UOB shall not be responsible or liable:-
      1. for any notice, letters, communication, or Prizes which gets lost, misplaced, defaced, tampered with, stolen, damaged or misdirected in the post; or
      2. for any late posting of the Qualifying restaurant reviews or for any failure in Qualifying restaurant reviews being being captured in UOB’s system which may result in a restaurant reviews made by the Participant being omitted from the Promotion.
    9. A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions has no rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act (Cap. 53B) of Singapore to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any term herein.
    10. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, and all participants who participate in the Promotion shall be deemed to have agreed to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
