Henderson Global Investors is the international investment management arm of AMP, the Australian financial services group. As at 30 June 2000, Henderson Global Investors managed more than S$287 billion of assets and employed more than 1,800 people around the world, with offices in the USA, UK, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore.

Singapore is the company's headquarters for Asia-Pacific investments, and the Singapore office has the dual purpose of managing and monitoring local investment opportunities and attracting new funds from the region for management. Opened in July 1995, the Singapore office has seen assets under management grow close to S$5.3 billion (as at 30 June 2000).
