Why eStatements

You can now enjoy faster, easier and paperless access to your monthly bank and cards statements. With eStatements, you will enjoy the following benefits:

Peace of mind with long-term storage
 

Enjoy peace of mind knowing that UOB archives your bank and cards statements electronically for 5 years from the time you subscribe. Now you don't have to worry about losing them.

Easy retrieval of past statements
 

With just a few clicks you can easily find past statements on your smartphone or tablet anytime, anywhere, instead of going through stacks of files, saving you time and precious storage space.

This service is currently available for Deposits^, Investments, Credit*/Debit Cards and CashPlus only.

Once you have subscribed to eStatements, you will only be able to view your statements electronically from your next statement cycle, which will be presented in a new layout. Learn more.

^Refers to Savings/Current Accounts only. eStatement is not applicable for Passbook Savings and Fixed Deposits accounts.

*Subscription of eStatements is not applicable for corporate/business cardholders who are holding Purchasing Card, Central Travel Account (CTA), Central Travel Card (CTC), Corporate Card and other Business card programme whereby your company is on 'centralised billing'.

Deposit Insurance Scheme
Singapore dollar deposits of non-bank depositors and monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the Supplementary Retirement Scheme are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to $50,000 in aggregate per depositor per Scheme member by law. Monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the CPF Investment Scheme and CPF Minimum Sum Scheme are aggregated and separately insured up to $50,000 for each depositor per Scheme member. Foreign currency deposits, dual currency investments, structured deposits and other investment products are not insured. New Look For Bank Statements

As part of our continuous efforts to serve you better, we have enhanced both our bank and cards statements to enrich your viewing experience and to provide you with a better perspective of your account(s).

Bank Statements

1. Overview

For single account statements, we have added Account Overview.

For combined accounts statements, there is a change in the presentation.
The Loans portfolio is now separated from the Deposits and Investment holdings.
Kindly note:
•  Deposits refer to Savings Accounts, Current Accounts and Fixed Deposits.
•  Investments refer to Unit Trusts and Securities (eg. Structured Notes and Bonds).
•  Structured Investments refer to MaxiYield, Yield Enhanced Structures, Structured Deposits and Equity Linked Notes.

2. Deposits


Two new columns Interest Earned and Interest Charged have been introduced to show the amount of interest you have earned or been charged for the year to date. In the past, these figures were only shown in your year-end statement in December.

3. Fixed Deposits


Tenor is now included in the Deposits section.

4. Investments


Indicative is now included for both Market Price and Market Valuation,
i.e. Indicative Market Price and Indicative Market Valuation.

5. Account Transaction Details


We have improved descriptions for transactions, for example CASH WD ATM is now changed to Cash Withdrawal-ATM.

6. Foreign Exchange Table


A foreign exchange table has been added for your reference and general information.

What is an eStatement?

An eStatement is an electronic version of your account(s) statement(s).

What are the benefits of using the eStatement service?

You can enjoy faster, easier and paperless access to your monthly bank statements 24/7 on a secured platform. What's more, you also get to enjoy access to 5 years of archived eStatements from the time you subscribe.

What are the accounts eligible for eStatements?

eStatement service is currently available for Deposits^, Investments, Credit* and Debit Cards only. UOB will be introducing eStatements for CashPlus soon and we will notify you when it becomes available.

How do I subscribe to the eStatement service?

Three simple steps to sign up for eStatements
Step 1: Log on to UOB Personal Internet Banking. Click on eStatement , followed by Manage eStatement Subscriptions.
Step 2: Check the Subscribe box to sign up for eStatement(s).
Step 3: Indicate how you would like to be notified when your eStatement is ready (mobile or email).

How will I know when my eStatement is ready for viewing?

You will receive a notification when your eStatement is ready, via your choice of SMS or email.

Are there fees and charges for using the eStatement service?

This service is free of charge.

When will I begin receiving my eStatement?

Once you have successfully signed up for the service, your eStatement will be available for viewing on UOB Personal Internet Banking from the following month onwards.

Can I continue to receive physical copies of my statement(s)?

Once you have signed up for eStatement, you will no longer receive physical copies of your statements from the following month.

What if I change my mind and prefer to receive physical copies instead of eStatements?

You may log in to UOB Personal Internet Banking, select Manage eStatement Subscriptions on the left menu bar and make the changes from there.

How does the archival of 5 years of eStatements work? Will I get to see my past statements the moment I sign on?

You will enjoy access to 5 years of your eStatements commencing from the time you sign up for the service. However, you will not be able to see past bank statement(s) prior to your sign-up.

How do I view my eStatements?

Three simple steps to view your eStatements
Step 1: Log in to Personal Internet Banking
Step 2: Click on eStatement on the left menu bar, then select View/Download eStatements
Step 3: Select the month you wish to view

How do I save a copy of my eStatement?

The eStatement will be presented as a PDF file, and you may save it like how you normally would for any PDF file.

The new look and format allows additional details to be featured, therefore offering customers greater transparency and clarity on their account.

Does the change affect only paper statements?

The new look will be applied to both eStatements and paper statements.

What do the two newly introduced columns Interest Earned and Interest Charged added to the bank statements mean?

Two new columns Interest Earned and Interest Charged have been introduced to show the amount of interest you have earned or been charged year to date. In the past, these figures were only shown in your year-end statement in December.

The figures in my statement do not tally when I employ the foreign exchange rates table displayed in the same statement. Why is this so?

The rates in the foreign exchange table serves as a reference and are provided for your general information only. They are used for aggregating various products into S$ for the statement summary.

Why is SMART$ featured now in rewards summary?
The new addition of SMART$ featured offers customers greater transparency and clarity on their account.
What do the newly introduced columns Previous Balance, Earned, Used + Adjustment (if any), Current Balance, Expiring and Expiry Date added to the e-statement means?
•   Previous Balance has been introduced to reflect the remaining SMART$ amount as of last statement date.
•   Earned Balance has been introduced to reflect SMART$ earns within the statement period.
•   Used refers to SMART$ utilized within the statement period and Adjustment (if any) refers to SMART$ awarding or reversing.
•   Current Balance refers to the SMART$ under Previous Balance plus Earned minus Used + Adjustments (if any) within statement period.
•   Expiring refers to SMART$ amount expiring within the same month of statement date as reflected under Expiry date.
•   Expiry Date refers to the date of the SMART$ amount expiring at the end of the month prior to the statement period.

Commercial Cards

Why did the bank decide to introduce a new look and format for the Commercial Cards statements?
The new look and format allows additional details to be featured, therefore offering customers greater transparency and clarity on their account.
Does the change affect only paper statements?
The new look will be applied to both eStatements and paper statements.
Can company or its cardholder apply for estatement via Personal Internet Banking?
•   Credit Card estatement is on an individual level (i.e. NRIC). Hence, company cannot subscribe to estatement for all its cardholders/employees.
•   Corporate/Business cardholders may sign up for estatement if they are not holding a Purchasing Card, Central Travel Account (CTA), Central Travel Card (CTC), Corporate Card and other Corporate/Business card programme where company is on "centralised billing".

Can I apply for estatement for my personal credit cards but retain my hard copy statement for my corporate/business card?
Yes. You can make the choice on your Personal Internet Banking page.
Why is SMART$ featured now in rewards summary?
