*Terms and Conditions: To qualify for the additional interest rate, you have to open a new or top-up your existing UOB Passbook Savings Account or Uniplus Account (collectively the "Savings Accounts") with a minimum fresh funds deposit of S$10,000 between 3 September and 30 September 2012, both dates inclusive (the “Promotion Period”). The additional interest rates only apply to fresh funds deposit deposited during the Promotion Period and maintained at all times in the Savings Account for 1 calendar month starting from the date of deposit of such fresh funds. To be eligible for the respective gifts, a participation form must be submitted at any UOB branch. The gift is valid while stocks last. The term “deposits” here shall have the same meaning as the term “Fresh Funds” defined in the terms and conditions governing this Promotion. Monies and deposits denominated in Singapore dollars under the Supplementary Retirement Scheme and Singapore dollar deposits, as listed in the UOB/FEB Insured Deposits Register, if held by or for an "insured depositor" and subject to the applicable provisions of the Deposit Insurance and Policy Owners’ Protection Schemes Act 2011 of Singapore ("Act"), are insured by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation, for up to S$50,000 in aggregate per "insured depositor" per Scheme member by law. The term "insured depositor" is defined under the Act.
